OBITUARY: WILLIAM G. BOSELY William Giles Bosely, 86, of Rt. #2, Belington, died Wednesday, March 23, in the Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Morgantown, following an extended illness. He was born June 18, 1924, at Landisburg, W.Va., a son of the late Ralph Paul and Vena Elizabeth (Fink) Bosely. On November 7, 1953, he married the former Betty Ann Phillips, who survives at the Mapleshire Center. Also surviving are one son, Calvin L. Bosely, Frederica, Del.; two grandchildren, Candice L. Bosely, Portland, OR, Corey Lee Bosely and wife, “Aomi” Gaithersburg, MD; two brothers, Thomas R. Bosely, Belington, Richard K. Bosely, Sistersville; two sisters, Patricia L Shelton, Belington and Cora E. “Betty” Hart, Charleston. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carol P. Phillips. Mr. Bosely was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy. He retired from the housekeeping department of Alderson – Broaddus College at Philippi. He was a life member of Laurel Mt. Post #410, V.F.W. at Belington and was Methodist by faith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 27 from the Schoonover – Stemple Funeral Chapel. Pastor David Shelton will officiate and interment will follow in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday and from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., the funeral hour on Sunday.
