William Harvey Bill Kerr 1935-2002 Obituary

William Harvey “Bill” Kerr, 66, a resident of 45 George St., Elkins, passed away at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2002, in Davis Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health, but his death was unexpected. He was born May 25, 1935, in Randolph County, a son of Beatrice Kerr Davis, who survives in Elkins, and the late Walter T. Kerr.

Also surviving is Alice Ketterman, his very special companion of 23 years and her son, James of 45 George St.; his stepfather, Coy Davis of Elkins; four sons, two daughter, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters.

Mr. Kerr was employed for several years in Colorado before returning to Elkins. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years and was a Pentecostal by faith.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Allen and Parker Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
