William Carl “Bill” Lawrence, 59, of Porterwood died Dec. 1, at home.

He had been in declining health for four years and death was attributed to pancreatic cancer.

He was born Feb. 26, 1942 at Pepperell, MA, a son of the late Roger Greenlief Lawrence and Ida Boyce Larence Toole, who survives in Massachusetts.

On Feb. 14, 1987, at Pepperell, MA, he was married to the former Charlotte Hebb, who survives at Porterwood.

Also surviving are five daughters, Lisa Withee, NH, Annette Dow, Lesa (and Stephen) Garib, Kathryn (and Paul) Vanaria, all of Massachusetts, Michelina Lawrence, Florida; a brother, roger (and Ellen) Lawrnece, Maine, two sisters, Sylvia Craig and Esther Smith of Massachusetts; seven grandchidlren; in laws, Charles and Christine Hebb; a brother-in-law, Charles (and Carol) Hebb; a sister-in-law, Carol Ann (and Rick) Lemons, all of Parsons.

He attended the schools of Pepperell, worked for the Bemis Company in Pepperell, and the EPIC Enterprises, (Enjoy Pepsi In Cans) of Ayer, MA, as a tractor trailer driver with 32 years, retiring in September 2000.

Friends were received at the Barb-Greenlief Funeral Home.

Service were held Dec. 3 at Parsons Church of God, Pastor Eli Hostetler officiated and interment followed at the Bethel Cemetery, Holly Meadows.
