William Ronald Hedrick 1922-2002 Obituary
William Ronald Hedrick, 80, a former resident of Elkins and a resident of Baltimore, Md., passed away Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, in Baltimore, Md.
Born July 10, 1922, in Nottingham, he was the son of the late Ellis Dow and Ida Hedrick.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hedrick of Baltimore, Md.; his second wife, Freda Hedrick of Baltimore, Md.; one daughter, Janet Hedrick of New York; one son, Randall Hedrick of Virginia; and one stepson, Gail Reams of Elkins. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thad Hedrick and Harley Paul Hedrick, both of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Dolly LaVoie of California.
He grew up and went to school in Elkins. He was a self-employed contractor in Baltimore for several years.
Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers, Edward Hedrick and Howard Hedrick; one sister, Nellie Elza; and his first wife, Leona Hedrick.
At the request of the deceased, the remains were cremated. A memorial service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins. Pastor Dave Collins of Harts Chapel Church will officiate. Interment will follow.
The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge for arrangements for Ronald Hedrick.
