Wilson T. “Mike” Shreve, age 87, of Volga, WV died Sunday, October, 21 2012 at the Broaddus Hospital in Philippi, WV. He was born June 30, 1925 in Junior, WV, a son of the late Hazel Talbott Shreve. On June 30, 1962 he married Dorothy Evelyn Poling who preceded him in death on February 7, 2011. He is survived by one daughter, Linda C. Dowell of Volga; two sisters, Verla Lamb of Elkins, WV and Wanda Harris & husband Junior of Hughsville, MD and two brothers, Paul Shreve of Spring Hill, FL and Robert Shreve of Buckhannon, WV. Mr. Shreve was an Operator for the B&O Railroad. He also served with the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. Friends will be received Tuesday, October 23, 2012 from 6 to 9 PM at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Byrd Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery in Philippi. Buckhannon VFW Post #3663, Frank B. Bartlett Post #7 American Legion, and DAV Chapters #5 & #36 will conduct Military Honors at the graveside. Poling-st.
