The first True Transoceanic to be released by Zenith – and it used Loktel tubes – 8 of them!
The case had 2 unique features for a Transoceanic – slightly bulging sides and a fixed handle, making the 8G005 easily distiquishable from the G500 that followed
This was the only Transoceanic to use a push-pull amplifer, with later models using a single tube for the amplifer
